The Flood Run
The Flood Run is a charity that has been helping out those in need since 1965. Originally getting its name from the motorcycle riders who rode to Winona, MN to help throw sandbags for the 1965 flood. Since then the charity has grown much larger. While originally the run traveled down Highway 61 to Winona, riders have now started including the Wisconsin 35, running down each side of the river.
All motorcycles are welcome. The wristbands are $10 and you must pre-register for the run. The official start and end are at the Beach Bar in Lake St. Croix. The starting point is a little over an hour away from Big River Escape, so you can participate in the run and then head back to the cabin, and make it back in plenty of time for dinner.
This year’s ride will benefit Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare. The Run takes place on April 17, 2021, at 2030 St. Croix Trail S, Lake St. Croix Beach, MN. Registration and checking are from 8 Am to 11 Am.
